The Ennis bypass project involved the installation and operational jacking of 2 permanent Flat Jacks to Structure 13, River Fergus Underbridge Ennis Bypass, Co. Clare.

ClearTech works required the preparation, installation of hydraulic systems, controlled inflation of N35 flat jacks and the monitoring of the system and bridge over a period of 72 hours. Following the transfer of 800kN, in a controlled staged manner, into the permanent propping system and the holding of this load, the system was permanently grouted with Weber Five Star Grout SP. ClearTech also supplied 2 no 400 x 200 x 41 permanent elastomeric bearings to a propping structure. Working with our client, Ward & Burke, main contractor Gama Construction and their engineers Mott McDonald, and the NRA  (National Roads Authority of Ireland), ClearTech’s work was carried out within the required programme and budget.
