Penang Hill Bridge Canopy Walkway for The Habitat is an innovative double span bridge 230m long with 115 m spans. The design concept was designed and developed by ClearTech in conjunction with the developer Creative Quest from Hong Kong.
Cleartech Engineered Solutions proposed a simple solution with a precast ribbon bridge with overall depth of 350mm for a span of 115m. The site itself posed many challenges and required an innovative solution.
For the first time in Penang caissons of 2.5m diameter were cast to 25m to rock. Cleartech’s design included the casting of the segments and moulds.
