Sub-Contracted to Main Contractor, PJ Hegarty, building a Digester Tank for Dairygold in Mitchelstown, Co. Cork. 

Our scope was: Design of the tank. Supply of the Post Tensioning. Installation of Post Tensioning.

The original slab was designed as a 350mm thick RC slab, redesigned  to a 160mm thick PT slab on the ground - the first time ever in Ireland - and two of the biggest overall pour sizes ever completed in Ireland without expansion joints : 2500m2 /pour. 

The final tank size is 78m diameter and 10m high walls (50million liters). Walls were cast in 4 quarters 10m high x 62.5m long.  Walls were 400mm thick PT.
